XXX Rootbeer Import Meet 2014

Yesterday was the 2014 installment of Importmeet.com's XXX Rootbeer Meet. Last years event was awesome, with over 1000 cars coming out and at least twice as many people. This year's weather wasn't as cooperative, but hey, it's Seattle in February. I took my daughter and my iPotato to take pics as I was sick most of the weekend and didn't know if I was going to make it.

The cars ran the gamut from the normal Civics, AE86s, and 240SXs, to some very nice NSXs, Evos, WRXs & a few GT-Rs of the 32, 33 & 35 variety.

But while it's sponsored by and called Import Meet, some domestics were allowed.

And there were even some Fauxrarri's!

However, as we were leaving at about 1:30pm, my jaw dropped. We were at the street corner awaiting "the little white walk guy" to come on to cross the busy street when out of no where comes this:

In the 30 minutes that he stayed, he apparently stole the show and it's easy to tell why from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! postings about it. It was the first time I have ever seen one in person and it sounded really nice. It's apparently a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but that didn't detract from it's rarity or hhhnnnggg-ness.

It was a great turnout and was pretty relaxed (except for the few idiots revving their motors as they left). ImportMeet.com and their sponsors did another excellent job putting this show on.
